12-01-07 - MEDLINK IMAGING LLC TEAMS UP WITH UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS

Medlink Imaging L.L.C. Teterboro, New Jersey has just completed the installation of a pacs.link PACS system at the University of Texas Medical Branch.

This installation will enable the Texas Department of Corrections to send digital mammography images from their 22 correctional facilities located across the state to Dallas for remote diagnostic interpretation. This system will improve inmate care and significantly reduce costs to the Texas Department of corrections and the University of Texas Medical Branch.

The system was designed with mirrored multi terabyte servers in Galveston and Huntsville for disaster recovery purposes. Images from these locations are then routed to Dallas for interpretation using the pacs.link I-Read Mammography workstations.
